4 months

I'm a bit late on this post, but here are some pictures of Jack at 4 months old. He loves his hands right now as you can see in many of these photos. He can roll to his stomach and back. He's sleeping on his stomach right now and takes 2 solid naps everyday.

First Trip to the farm and a Family Reunion

Jack has been lucky enough in 3 short months to meet so much of his family and the trend continued in July.  He first met his Aunt Ardella (Gigi's sister) and Uncle Bob, who stayed at our house for a few days.  He welcomed Aunt Ardella the way best way babies know how, with a little spit up!  He only does that to people he really loves!  Uncle Bob and Jack entertained each other.  It was very cute.

On Friday, Jack made his first trip to the farm and met more family!

He met his cousins, Melissa and her childhood friend Maggie, and Ryan and his fiancee Kate.  Everybody had a great time telling stories, learning about family history and riding around the farm on the truck.  Oh yeah, and eating!

 12.5 lbs according to this old scale of my grandfather.

On Sunday, Jack was able to meet even more of his family. Almost all of the Sandison Family came for a huge and delicious lunch.

 We celebrated all the cousins who have summer birthdays.  With a Publix cake of course!

Here's a new generation of Sandison cousins. Our grandparents, CT, Aunt Debbie and Aunt Dottie would love these precious kiddos.

Jack really did not love the south Georgia gnats but who really does?

Whenever we came to visit the farm my grandmother always had Krispy Kreme donuts for the grandkids.   Of course this a tradition no one wanted to stop.

One afternoon, we took Jack on his first history trip, the hometown of former President Jimmy Carter.

Unfortunately, everything was closed but we had fun anyways!

My sisters and I spent were able to spend a lot of time at this wonderful place with lots of family.  I hope Jack has the same experiences. 

Once back in Atlanta, we took in the sights with Allison, Melissa and Maggie. 

We introduced them to the wonderful pizza from Antico, visited the MLK center and toured the World of Coke. 

Sorry for the long post, but I had been looking forward to this visit since the planning began. I know Jack is going to love his cousins as much as I do!

Big Day!

Today was a big day for the Schwartz Family.

Jack spent his first day in day care as it was Rebecca's first day back to work.  He spent the day at Gigi and Pop's house.  He will start with his regular day care next week.

Additionally, after a weekend of practicing with his Aunt Lauren &Aunt Allison, Jack rolled over onto his stomach.  It takes him a few minutes to get it because his arm seems to get in the way but he sticks with it and ends up like this:

I really wanted professional pictures for Jack hitting the 3 month mark, but I waited too late and we were out of town for about 2 weeks. Anyways, I decided to create my own photography session and he was fairly cooperative. Enjoy the pictures of this adorable little baby! I'm trying to enjoy every minute as I go back to school in 9 days!

3 months

Wow Jack is 3 months old! This last month flew by and he continues to change everyday. We didn't have a doctor's appointment this month, so here are some things about Jack-

• Jack loves his hands. He's obsessed with eating his hands and wants very little to do with the pacifier.
• Jack is sleeping 9-10 hours a night and eats 5 times a day. When he wakes up in the morning, he is all smiles and it's one of my favorite times of the day.
• He takes 3 naps, but the 3rd nap is hit or miss.
• He loves his activity mat. 
• He loves to be held upright to see everything around him. He responds to people talking directly or singing to him with smiles and laughs.
• Jack wears 3 month clothing.
• He has been in the lake and ocean in the past month.
• He's starting to have more hair on the top of his head, but it is very light.
