8 & 9 months

Jack recently hit the milestone of 9 months and I realize I never posted about 8 months- oops. This past 2 months were full of exciting and fun new changes for our little boy. He is extremely close to crawling and can move very quickly around a room. He taught himself to sit up from laying on his back or stomach without any help. We discovered him sitting in his crib one morning playing with his pj's. Kevin lowered the bed that night! :) He's trying to pull himself up on everything he sees (including people). He will grab couches, tables, toys & your legs in an effort to stand up. He hasn't mastered the skill yet but he's making progress.

Jack loves to eat especially fruits and cheerios. Kevin & I experimented with several new baby recipes and he seems to enjoy most foods with the exception of peas. He experienced lima beans on Christmas day and enjoyed those just like his Pops. Jack's becoming increasingly more vocal with loud shrieks and mumbling. At times, it almost sounds like he's hissing because he's learned to blow air out of his mouth. "Uh oh" is the most distinctive word he says and it's adorable. Also, he will clap his hands randomly. If you start to clap, he won't mimic you yet.

At his doctor's appointment, he weight 20 lbs and 8 oz. The doctor caught his 1st ear infection so we were pretty lucky it didn't progress any further.

Here are some pictures from 8 & 9 months-

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from these precious babies!

Christmas Part II

We fortunately experienced a 2nd Christmas with the Lewis family for a few days. We enjoyed a relaxing a visit including introducing the Pink Pig to the Lewis family. Jack wasn't too sure of the ride, but at least he didn't cry or scream.

Visiting the Pink Pig was most definitely the highlight of David's Winter break- can't you tell?

Christmas Part I

We stayed in Georgia for Christmas and celebrated with the Greens. Jack experienced his first Christmas Eve service by adding a burp during "Silent Night". Thank goodness we chose the children's service because his Gigi would have died. We spent Christmas Eve with my family and my sisters captured adorable pictures of Jack for the holidays. We enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner with the extended Green family.

photos with the Aunts

Lauren & Allison watched Jack so Kevin & I could attend a holiday party with friends. Lauren captured these adorable pictures of Jack under my mom's tree.
