Thankful

As we celebrated Thanksgiving this year, I'm very thankful for so much this past year.
Most importantly, I'm grateful for my little turkey and family.

The love, kindness and generosity shown to our family this year constantly reminds me how lucky we are. Our family & friends showered us with love, meals, encouragement and advice over the last months. Our family traveled from Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Boston & Brooklyn to meet the latest member. Every visit was a treasure that we will never forget as we share these stories with Jack. What a lucky little guy to be surrounded by love & laughter.


We spent Thanksgiving in North Carolina with the Lewis family. Jack's Case cousins came for Thanksgiving day for some yummy turkey & dressing.

Our friends Walker & Rebecca welcomed a sweet baby girl last week. We were lucky to meet Miss Charlotte and she is adorable and precious. It's hard to believe Jack was ever that small. We are thrilled for Bec & Walker as they embark on this new stage.

 Here's to a new generation of life long friends! It's been an exciting few weeks in our dinner club family with a new baby, a wedding and Baby Thompson coming this spring!

Fall Update

Over the last few weeks, we've enjoyed some quiet weekends at home. Recently, Kevin & I celebrated the wedding of our friends Eric & Kristin. 

We were surprised by a visit from Nick to meet Jack while he's home from UGA.

7 months

We are a bit late on our 7 month pictures, but better late than never. Here are some fun facts about Jack at 7 months-

• Jack has 2 teeth!!
• Jack sleeps 12 hours a night and takes 2 solid naps.We are very lucky with his sleeping patterns as he rarely wakes up in night. 
• He's an eating machine! Jack loves all fruits and most veggies. He isn't too crazy about green peas, but we are making progress. He loves apples and pears and even tried avocado. 
• In the last few weeks, Jack had his first cold and his little cough is pitiful especially in the middle of the night.
• He's becoming much more vocal which is too precious. On the car ride to work, I love hearing him talk to himself. 
• Jack has the sweetest laugh and will easily break out in giggles. 
• Jack loves Cal! If Cal comes around Jack, he start smiling and even giggling if Cal barks. 
• Jack experienced his 1st Halloween as a monkey. 

 Jack recently discovered buttons on jackets and shirts. He constantly tries to grab buttons and promptly put them in his mouth.

Uncle Brian Visits!

Uncle Brian came for a weekend visit a few weeks ago. We had a relaxing weekend full of football while Kevin installed a new sink in our kitchen. :)

Jack's 6 month photos

I wanted professional pictures of Jack for his 6 month mark. We used our newborn photographer and absolutely love the photos. We were lucky to have the photo session fall on the same weekend as Grandpa's visit to include him in the photos. Thanks to Allison Maurer for the photos!
